Your Harmonious Home is a member of APDO, The Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers, and adheres to their Code of Ethics.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Your privacy is very important, and no details will ever be shared with a third party.
Any photographs will only be used with your consent and will never be attributed to you. Initials may be used to give specific information if it is helpful to make sense of the photographs but not in any way that would make it easy to identify you.
Insurance
Your Harmonious Home has full Professional and Public Liability Insurance for up to £1 million.
Consultation
Your Harmonious Home provides a free 30-minute consultation. If this cannot be done in-person, it can be arranged online so that I am able to see the area to be tackled and formulate a plan to best declutter and organise the area.
After your consultation you will be given a quotation listing the agreed upon work to be carried out. A 20% deposit will need to be paid at the time of booking.
Cancellation
If a session needs to be cancelled up to one week before the work is to be carried out and cannot be rearranged, then the client will receive their deposit back. After this point it is at the discretion of Your Harmonious Home.
Limitations
I can help you to move light items of furniture around if this is required but am unable to move heavy items of furniture for health and safety reasons. Any heavy items that may need to be moved can be discussed during the consultation.
I am willing to hang pictures but anything beyond this will have to be organised with a specialist.
Whilst I am happy to do a bit of light cleaning, for example dusting shelves before replacing items, Your Harmonious Home is not a cleaning service.
Breaks
Regular breaks are important in order to maintain energy levels and give time to analyse what needs to take place next. An unpaid 30-minute lunch break will be taken during a full day of work.
Removal of items
For an additional cost I am willing to take a carload of items to be disposed of in the most ecologically friendly way possible. This includes giving items to registered charity shops and recycling wherever possible.
Disclaimer
All of your property will be treated with care and consideration. However, Your Harmonious Home cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage that may occur and recommends that you have appropriate insurance in place.
I am not able to give valuations for items and clients are advised to seek their own valuations if this is relevant.
